Climbing second highest mountain in Malaysia, Mount Trusmadi


Mount Trusmadi is the second tallest mountain in Malaysia with the height of 2,462m or 8,669ft after Mountain Kinabalu. This beautiful and unspoilt mountain situated some 70km southeast of Kota Kinabalu at Tambunan district.

Many trekkers complimented this scenic mountain as more challenging climbs comparable with Mount Kinabalu which considered as an easy feat. This is because, the trail was purposely maintain as it supposed to be in nature, climbers has an opportunity to experience different slopes which extremely challenging and most importantly one will be able to concuer numbers of beautiful peaks before reaching the summit which is considered to have the best dawn view of Mount Kinabalu than any other places.

The slopes is inhibited with rare walnuts, pines and oak trees. If you are Nepenthes enthusiast, this is where you should be as no other places in Borneo has more species than this mountain. Some called this mountain as "Nepenthes Garden" as numerous species such as the smallest species like Nepenthes Tentaculata or the biggest Nepenthes Macrophylla. Some are very rare such as Nepenthes Xtrusmadiensis could be esaily found.

Beside its rich floras and faunas it also inhabited by a myriad species of birds and animals which friendly enough to your lenses.
